Event Details

What: Luke Day 2026 – Free Paper Shredding Event

When: Saturday, June 13, 2026 | 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Where: NextHome Providence, 1940 Weddington Road, Weddington, NC 28104

Cost: Absolutely free!

Just bring your boxes and bags of old papers — tax documents, bank statements, medical records, anything with sensitive information — and we will shred them on-site while you enjoy complimentary coffee, donuts, and refreshments.

Who Is Luke?

If you have visited our office, you have probably met Luke — the friendly French Bulldog who serves as our unofficial mascot and office greeter. Luke Day is our annual tradition of giving back to the community that has supported NextHome Providence. It is our way of saying thank you to the families, friends, and neighbors who make Weddington and the surrounding area such a wonderful place to call home.

Why Paper Shredding Matters

Identity theft remains one of the fastest-growing crimes in the country. Old documents sitting in your home — tax returns, bank statements, credit card offers, medical bills — contain exactly the kind of personal information that identity thieves look for. Professional on-site shredding is the safest way to dispose of these documents, and at Luke Day, it is completely free.

This is especially timely if you recently bought or sold a home. The real estate process generates a mountain of paperwork, and once your transaction is complete, much of it can (and should) be securely destroyed.

Stop By and Say Hello

Luke Day is not just about shredding — it is a community gathering. Stop by to meet the NextHome Providence team, say hello to Luke, grab a donut, and chat with your neighbors. Whether you are a current client, a future one, or just someone in the neighborhood, you are welcome.

If you have any real estate questions — about the Waxhaw market, what your Weddington home is worth, or the best Wesley Chapel neighborhoods for your family — Cindy and the team will be on hand and happy to chat in a relaxed, no-pressure setting.

Mark Your Calendar

Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at 1940 Weddington Road, Weddington, NC 28104. No RSVP needed — just show up with your papers and an appetite for donuts.

We cannot wait to see you there!
